What is an AI Builder?
Being an AI Builder at Hyde is like leading your own Applied AI startup, you’re the CXO - driving vision, strategy, and execution. You’ll work in small, high‑leverage pods responsible for building and deploying an integrated training and inference stack that enables enterprises to develop RL‑based agents. Your work doesn’t stop at customer deployment, you’ll translate real‑world usage into product improvements, shaping Hyde’s core platform, primitives, and tooling.
Every day is different, here are some ideas of what you will do:
- You’ll be a generalist engineer: working across research, product, and forward deployed pods to design and build AI systems that drive business impact. On any day you may be working on building agents, training models, setting up evaluation matrices, or creating RL environments for specific domains.
- Iterate on Hyde’s product toolkits by capturing cutting‑edge applied AI patterns that create delivery leverage. Equally capture usage insights from production environments to refine product abstractions and interfaces for developers.
- Work directly with CXOs and senior stakeholders to identify high‑value problem spaces and translate them into productizable AI systems.
You may be the right fit if you have:
- Experience working in applied ML, reinforcement learning, product engineering, and/or top‑tier management consulting. Ideally, experience deploying AI in creative ways to solve real‑world problems.
- A strong foundation in ML basics (Evaluation, Training, Problem Decomposition). Preferred backgrounds include but are not limited to Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Machine Learning, Data Science.
- A track record of working directly with customers to build and/or scale end‑user applications preferred.
- Proficiency in software engineering principles and an understanding of languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript / JavaScript.
