Job Description
About the role
We’re on the lookout for a Shift Engineer to handle all the maintenance issues around our hotel, making sure our guests stay safe and comfortable.
- What You’ll Do
- Help with the daily maintenance of the hotel, hitting the right notes for any faults or repairs.
- Plumbing – unblocking drains/toilets, repairing/replacing taps etc.
- Minor electrical gigs – replacing lamps/fittings, sockets and switches etc.
- Rock the Health and Safety tasks, like weekly fire alarm tests, water temperature monitoring, showerhead descaling.
- Maintenance on HVAC systems like filter cleaning/replacing.
- Ensure the hotel is kept to the highest maintenance standards.
- Respond quickly to all maintenance requests and concerns from guests and team members following the hotel reporting procedure.
Qualifications

- You know your way around Health and Safety in the workplace.
- City & Guilds level 2 in any trade is desired but not essential.
- Plumbing and HVC experience desirable.
