We’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping how Hyde uses data to make better decisions, improve services for residents and operate more effectively. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional to lead the development of modern, secure and scalable data solutions that support meaningful outcomes across the organisation.

In this role, you’ll provide technical leadership across Hyde’s data platforms and pipelines, helping to ensure our systems are reliable, efficient and ready to meet the needs of a data-led organisation. You’ll work at the forefront of our cloud and data engineering capability, supporting better insight, stronger governance and more joined-up services. You’ll also lead and support a team of data engineers, driving high standards in delivery, security and continuous improvement.

Working closely with colleagues across technology and the wider business, you’ll help turn complex data needs into practical solutions that improve customer outcomes and strengthen decision-making across Hyde.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the design, build and delivery of Hyde’s data platform, including data pipelines, cloud infrastructure and integration solutions.
  • Ensure data solutions are scalable, secure and reliable, supporting real-time access to high-quality information across the business.
  • Drive engineering standards, governance and continuous improvement across data architecture, automation and deployment practices.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, analysts and technical teams to translate business needs into practical, value-driven data solutions.
  • Lead, coach and develop Data Engineers, creating a collaborative team culture focused on performance, learning and delivery.
