We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Housing Scheme Officer (Later Living) to join our Specialist Housing team, supporting older adults living within Hyde’s later living schemes. This is a rewarding role at the heart of our communities, ensuring residents live in safe, well-managed, and supportive environments that promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

You will be the trusted on-site presence across our schemes, combining housing management expertise with a strong customer focus to deliver high-quality services and positive outcomes for customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Undertake regular inspections of communal areas, identifying repairs, hazards, and maintenance requirements to ensure safe, well-maintained environments.
  • Manage lettings processes including viewings, sign-ups, tenancy onboarding, and customer inductions, ensuring a smooth customer journey.
  • Act as first point of contact for tenancy management issues, including ASB, neighbour disputes, and service enquiries, escalating where necessary.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with residents through proactive wellbeing visits, engagement, and ongoing communication.
  • Coordinate communal services such as cleaning, repairs, grounds maintenance, and contractor activity, ensuring high service standards.
  • Lead resident engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and community activities, promoting independence, inclusion, and digital access.
  • Carry out statutory health & safety, fire safety, and compliance checks, ensuring accurate records, contractor performance, and policy adherence.
