The hotel is a festival-inspired food lovers paradise and showcase for music and nightlife, featuring 131 rooms with natural textures and artisan touches. The hotel boasts a range of luxurious rooms each meticulously designed to provide the utmost comfort and style.

Job Purpose

Assists to showcase a one-of-a-kind lifestyle hotel which is the first Hyde in Africa. The marketing executive increases brand awareness, generates leads, drives sales, and supports business growth through various marketing activities. The marketing executive assists in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns. The individual is responsible for promoting services and hotel related products through coordinated marketing campaigns. This role works closely with various departments to ensure that sales & marketing projects are completed accurately and on time.

General Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, email, print, etc.).
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and insights that can inform marketing strategies.
  • Help create engaging content for marketing materials, including social media posts, blogs, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Support the management of social media accounts, including posting content and engaging with followers.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in organising and coordinating marketing events, promotions, and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing marketing materials.
  • Maintain an organised database of marketing assets and collateral.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Be a guardian of Hyde brand identity and ensure that guest journey touchpoints are activated.
  • Execute brand initiatives and activations to maximize impact from PR, social, digital marketing, programming events.
  • Support the hotel opening/launch activations and initiatives, including a highly programmed calendar.
  • Serve as the hotel's primary local brand ambassador, serving as the local expert on brand standards, tone of voice and aesthetics.
  • Work closely with local digital/PR/content agencies, including developing briefs, managing meetings, prioritizing initiatives and delivering meaningful metrics.
  • Capture and post social media content for the hotels, including community management, while focusing on content that drives brand storytelling and working closely with Home Office Social Media Manager.

Customer Specific Responsibilities

  • Sourcing marketing opportunities from various channels.
  • Assists with the implementation and monitoring of marketing processes and systems that ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Quality Specific Responsibilities

  • Organising and coordinating marketing events, promotions, and trade shows.
  • Assist to ensure website information is maintained up-to-date and functional.
  • Drafting marketing materials.
  • Preparing coherent marketing campaign reports using data analysis tools.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, sales, or a related field.
  • 2 or more years of experience in marketing or relevant coursework.
  • 1 or more years of experience in hospitality.
  • Experience managing digital and creative agencies to deliver key metrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts and tools (e.g., SEO, social media, email marketing).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiar with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
