The Tenancy Management Advisor sits in Hyde Group's Neighbourhoods and Tenancy Services team, acting as the first contact for tenancy and anti-social behaviour enquiries. The work covers assessing new cases, advising customers and carrying cases through to completion, often alongside police, social services and schools. The post is hybrid, with two days in the office and three remote. Fit depends on working knowledge of housing law and safeguarding, and on experience of managing customer cases.
What the job involves
- Assess and manage new tenancy and anti-social behaviour cases, keeping to agreed actions and timescales
- Give customers clear, timely advice and promote early intervention and mediation
- Prepare case plans, review risk assessments and elevate cases needing specialist support, safeguarding action or home visits
- Manage tenancy requests and investigate abandoned homes, illegal subletting and breaches of tenancy
- Keep accurate case records and work with colleagues and partners, including the police, social services and schools, to resolve cases

Experience
- Experience of managing or supporting customer cases
Skills & knowledge
- Some knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy law, court processes and safeguarding in social housing
- Assessing risk and gathering evidence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Calm, professional handling of sensitive or challenging situations
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external organisations
- Accurate record keeping and case monitoring in CRM systems
