Roofer

Hyde Group's property services team is hiring a roofer for planned roofing repairs, maintenance and installation on domestic properties. The work centres on scheduled projects and roof inspections, with safe working and customer satisfaction at the core. It is a mobile role that comes with a company van and fuel card, suited to someone with planned-works roofing experience. Successful applicants will need a basic DBS check.

What the job involves

• Carry out planned roofing repairs and installations to industry standards
• Inspect and assess roofs to identify maintenance or replacement needs
• Repair or replace roofing materials such as tiles, slates and flashing
• Apply weatherproofing and protective coatings to extend roof life
• Keep a safe, controlled working environment following safety procedures
• Manage roofing materials, tools and equipment for planned projects
• Work with the wider maintenance team to deliver planned works smoothly

What’s required

Experience

• Proven experience as a roofer, focused on planned or project-based maintenance

Skills & knowledge

• Knowledge of roofing materials, installation techniques and repair methods
• Safe use of roofing tools and equipment
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Attention to detail and problem-solving
• Customer-focused approach
