Multi Trader (Carpenter/Plumber Bias)

Hyde Group's maintenance team is looking for a Multi Trader to carry out day-to-day repairs in residents' homes, with a bias towards carpentry and plumbing. The work covers carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and painting, from doors and kitchens to leaks and flooring, often working alone but alongside other trades when needed. Customers' homes call for a professional, respectful manner and getting jobs right first time. A valid full UK driving licence is required.

What the job involves

• Carrying out multi-trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, plastering and general maintenance
• Fixing day-to-day issues such as doors, kitchens, bathrooms, leaks, walls and flooring
• Completing patch plastering, minor tiling, painting and similar finishing works
• Working alone on jobs and alongside other trades when needed
• Following work orders and reporting on progress and materials used
• Working safely and following Hyde's health and safety procedures
• Providing a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes

What’s required

Experience

• Solid, proven experience across multiple trades, especially carpentry, plumbing and plastering, including general maintenance

Skills & knowledge

• Confident using hand and power tools
• Knowledge of trade-specific techniques, materials and safety protocols
• Practical problem-solving to spot issues and fix them properly
• Good communication and a customer-friendly attitude
• Able to manage own workload and work independently or as part of a team

Checks & eligibility

• Valid full UK driving licence

Other

• Physically fit and able to do manual labour
