Overview
The Hyde Group are establishing a Quality Engineer role within the Hyde Aero Products Division. This position focuses on production and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Hyde Aero Products and the wider HAP Division, driving quality improvements and supporting NPI work packages as a quality specialist.
Responsibilities
- Production and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators for Hyde Aero Products and the wider HAP Division.
- Initiative-taking quality based problem solving, utilising KPI to drive improvements.
- Root cause and corrective action analysis for product and audit findings using Practical Problem-Solving tools (e.g., 8D, Ishikawa, RCCA 5 Why Analysis).
- Management of non-conforming product and quarantine controls.
- Support with FAIR review and completion in accordance with AS9102 and Business Core Procedures.
- Support with APQP/PPAP review and completion in accordance with AS9145 and Business Core Procedures.
- Reviewing, organising, and verifying documentation for completeness.
- Consulting with Suppliers and Business Units within the Hyde Group.
- Assisting with Divisional internal audits against the Integrated Management System and customer standards.
- Lead 'Supplier Quality Requirement' reviews, ensuring compliance with customer quality requirements.
- Work closely with the Hyde Aero Products Project Department as a Quality specialist on NPI work packages.
- Support staff by undertaking ad-hoc projects when needed.
- Assist in seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain excellent communications skills and IT literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrate good teamwork, pro-activity, and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and/or off-site as required by the business.
- Excellent customer facing skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Commitment to learning and personal development.
- Experience of quality management systems.
- Experience in/awareness of environmental management systems (desirable but not mandatory).
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- IT literacy in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Pro-active, motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong quality mindset.
