About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Coppersmith to join our skilled fabrication team. This role is integral to the manufacture of precision sheet metal components, ducting and pipework assemblies used in high-performance aerospace applications. You will play a key role in interpreting engineering data and transforming raw materials into complex, high-tolerance components, working strictly in line with aerospace quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, form, and assemble aerospace sheet metal components, including ducting, pipework and structural fabrications.
  • Work with a range of materials including aluminium, stainless steel and titanium.
  • Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings, technical specifications and work instructions.
  • Carry out accurate marking out, cutting, forming and finishing operations.
  • Use hand tools, press tools, rollers and forming equipment to produce high-precision parts.
  • Ensure all work complies with AS9100 quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Conduct in-process inspection and self-verification of work to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality and production teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with 5S principles.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Coppersmith / Sheet Metal Worker within aerospace or high-spec manufacturing.
  • Strong background working with precision sheet metal and fabricated assemblies.
  • Experience handling aerospace-grade materials such as aluminium, stainless steel or titanium.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of tolerances, form control and dimensional accuracy.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 (NADCAP awareness beneficial).
  • High level of manual dexterity and craftsmanship.
