We are looking to appoint a Quality Engineer with industry knowledge and aerospace experience to work as part of our quality team within our sheet metal and assembly business at our Dukinfield (Cheshire) site.

About the opportunity As the Quality Engineer, you will play an integral part in the investigation and responding to non-conformances, analyse quality data, proactively working with colleagues to improve quality, drive continuous improvement initiatives, develop and maintain standard work sheets, assist the Quality Manager in maintaining calibration equipment and devices, carry out daily calibration checks, ensure company approvals remain in place (ISO14001, Nadcap etc) and carry out internal and external audits.

You will build on your industry knowledge and experience, keeping up to date with best practice and participate in internal and external training.

You will also work closely with the quality departments from other Hyde business units, clients and suppliers as part of the wider aerospace supply chain.

As a key member of the quality team, you may be required to work offsite and act up in the absence of the quality providing a range of quality reports or other updates to the senior leadership team as required.
