As a CMM Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting jobs at various stages of the machining inspection process in line with customer requirements (capture specific measurements from customer requirements). You’ll use your experience to seek out and drive continuous improvements to identify and resolve issues within your control, also contributing towards wider continuous improvement activities.
Ideally you will have:
- Excellent communications skills.
- Good team working ethic, be highly pro-active and motivated.
- Ability to read and interpret 3D Models & 2D drawings.
- Experience in CMM software; PC DMIS is preferred.
- Excellent customer facing skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Good understanding of the quality management systems (QMS) in either Aerospace/Automotive industry.
- Understanding of AS9100.
- Experience of various inspection tools and the ability to understand inspection reports.
- Good understanding of Inspection and manufacturing techniques.
- Experience of CNC machining is preferred.
- IT literate, in particular SAP, Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills (Lean/six sigma knowledge preferred).
- The ability to work flexible hours should the business need arise.
