  • Support the preparation of investment committee papers, transaction documentation and fundraising materials
  • Help manage data room organisation, document tracking and version control throughout transaction processes
  • Assist in coordinating with external advisers including legal, financial and technical consultants as directed
  • Conduct primary and secondary research on energy transition technologies, market dynamics, policy developments and regulatory frameworks across HEP's target sectors
  • Monitor sector news, deal flow, M&A activity and market developments on a continuous basis, flagging relevant items to the wider investment team
  • Produce sector maps, company profiles, technology assessments and market landscape analyses to support the team's thematic investment work
  • Provide scientific and economic input into investment strategy, bringing an analytical lens to sector trends and emerging opportunities
  • Maintain and regularly update sector databases and market intelligence reference materials
  • Support the investment team in building and maintaining financial models for portfolio investments, including revenue models, cost structures and scenario analysis (e.g. DCF)
  • Assist in the preparation of returns analysis, sensitivity analysis and portfolio valuation updates under the direction of senior team members
  • Gather and organise financial data from portfolio companies for inclusion in quarterly performance reports and Board packs
  • Develop financial modelling skills progressively with mentorship from senior colleagues
  • Assist in the ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies, preparing performance update summaries and tracking financial and operational KPIs against the investment case
  • Support the preparation of investor reports, Board packs, investment committee papers and internal performance updates
  • Engage with portfolio company management teams in a professional capacity, building relationships and supporting value creation initiatives
  • Help coordinate Board meeting logistics, including preparation of materials and follow-up on action items
