To own and grow HybridTec's most strategically important client relationships — our levy-paying apprenticeship employers. This senior commercial role is responsible for retaining and expanding a portfolio of key accounts, representing HybridTec at the highest level externally, and driving significant revenue through apprenticeship programmes and commercial training.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of minimum 10 levy-paying apprenticeship clients and 10 medium Enterprises.
- Act as the senior point of contact for all key account matters, building relationships at director and board level within client organisations.
- Develop and execute account plans for each key client, identifying growth opportunities and retention strategies.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, gather feedback, and plan future training needs.
- Negotiate contract renewals and pricing for multi-year apprenticeship commitments.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to account retention.
Strategic Business Development
- Identify, pursue and win new levy-paying clients to grow the key account portfolio.
- Develop proposals and tender responses for large-scale apprenticeship programmes.
- Lead commercial negotiations for high-value contracts.
- Map client organisations to identify additional stakeholders, departments and subsidiaries with training needs.
- Cross-sell HybridTec's full service offering including commercial gas, electrical, and renewables training.
- Meet KPI’s in Bootcamp, Apprenticeships, Commercial & Other.
- Use data to create sales and find new sources of lead generation.
External Representation & Thought Leadership
- Represent HybridTec as a senior ambassador at industry events, conferences, and awards ceremonies.
- Attend and contribute to business roundtables, networking events, and charity functions.
- Present at school and college career events to promote apprenticeship pathways.
- Build and maintain a strong professional network within housing, facilities management, and construction sectors.
- Contribute to HybridTec's thought leadership through case studies, testimonials, and sector insights.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with Operations to ensure seamless delivery for key accounts.
- Liaise with Data & Compliance to ensure funding claims and paperwork are processed promptly.
- Provide commercial intelligence to inform curriculum development and capacity planning.
- Mentor and support Business Development Executives on complex or high-value opportunities.
- Escalate delivery issues affecting key accounts and drive resolution.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate records of all key account activity in CRM/SharePoint.
- Provide accurate revenue forecasts for key account portfolio.
- Report monthly on account health, pipeline, and risks to the Director of Commercial & Performance.
- Track apprenticeship starts, completions, and levy drawdown across portfolio.
