The opportunity:

We seek an experienced and driven Technical Account Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and execute successful SEO & Technology campaigns for our esteemed clients in the education sector. Additionally, you will play a key role actively contributing to the agency's growth through client retention efforts.

The day-to-day:

Develop and implement comprehensive SEO and web development strategies tailored to the unique needs of educational institutions, including colleges, universities, and online learning platforms.

  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, on-page optimisation, and technical SEO audits whilst overseeing website builds, redesigns, and digital platform developments to maximise organic search visibility and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Manage end-to-end web development projects, coordinating with developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget parameters.
  • Analyse website performance across both SEO metrics and development KPIs, generating insightful reports and providing data-driven recommendations to improve search engine rankings, site functionality, and user engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including content creators, developers, designers, and project stakeholders, to ensure seamless execution of integrated SEO and web development initiatives.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes for web development deliverables, ensuring websites meet technical standards, accessibility requirements, and SEO best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, algorithm updates, web technologies, and best practices in both SEO and web development industries, adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Work with new and current clients to identify growth opportunities across both SEO services and web development projects.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and technical specifications to prospective clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of our integrated SEO and web development services.
  • Negotiate project scopes, timelines, and budgets whilst ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and educational webinars to expand your knowledge and represent the agency as a subject matter expert in both SEO and web development.

You should have:

  • Proven experience in SEO account management and web development project management, preferably within the education or related sectors.
  • Solid understanding of on-page optimisation, technical SEO, link building, and local SEO strategies alongside proficiency in web development technologies and project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing web development lifecycles from initial brief through to launch and post-launch support.
  • Proficiency in using SEO tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush) as well as project management tools and development platforms.
  • Technical knowledge of web development fundamentals including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS platforms, and responsive design principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret both SEO performance data and web development metrics, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to effectively convey complex technical concepts to clients and internal stakeholders across both disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success in new business development, lead generation, and client acquisition for both SEO and web development services.
  • Project management experience with ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects, manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously across different service offerings.
