We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive IT Manager to join our dynamic team in Bristol. In this pivotal role, you will be based at our UK headquarters whilst overseeing and enhancing our IT infrastructure and ensuring compliance with UK and global cybersecurity policies and industry best practices. You will be instrumental in driving technological innovation and maintaining robust IT systems across our global operations, including the implementation of an IT refresh program and management of the global support tickets.
The day-to-day:
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies and policies aligned with business objectives and UK/international cybersecurity requirements.
- Manage and optimise IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and security protocols.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of IT policies, ensuring compliance with UK/EU standards and cyber insurance requirements.
- Oversee system updates, patches, and security measures across all company devices and platforms.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across our global offices to ensure seamless integration of IT solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate system performance, maintaining detailed documentation of IT infrastructure and processes.
- Manage relationships with UK-based and international suppliers and third-party IT service providers.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Lead IT security awareness and training programmes across the organisation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and cybersecurity threats to ensure proactive system protection.
You should have:
- Proven experience in IT management roles across small, medium, and corporate business environments.
- Strong understanding of UK and international cybersecurity policies, compliance requirements, and implementation strategies.
- Expertise in managing IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud services, SAAS platforms, and security systems.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining IT policies and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices in system security and data protection.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with supplier management and budget control.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) are preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a global organisation with multiple international offices is highly desirable.
