We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing Bristol team, focused on selling web design and development solutions to the Higher Education sector. This is an opportunity to work with universities across the UK, helping senior marketing, digital and technology leaders modernise their web presence, improve student engagement and deliver better digital experiences through high-performing websites, CMS platforms and digital transformation projects.

You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective clients, generating and qualifying opportunities for our Business Development team through strategic outreach, discovery conversations and relationship building. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience selling web design, web development or digital agency services, who enjoys consultative sales and understands how to communicate technical and creative solutions in a commercially compelling way.

We operate with a culture of autonomy, accountability and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on personal development and long-term career progression.

The Day-to-Day

  • Generate new business opportunities for our web design and development services through outbound prospecting, cold outreach and strategic account targeting.
  • Engage senior stakeholders within universities, including Directors of Digital, Heads of Marketing, Communications teams and IT leadership.
  • Conduct discovery-led conversations to understand institutional challenges, digital goals and website requirements.
  • Clearly articulate the value of our web development capabilities, CMS expertise, UX/UI design services and digital strategy offering.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified meetings and opportunities for the wider sales team.
  • Use market intelligence, research tools and sector insight to identify universities most likely to benefit from our services.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Development and Account Management teams to stay informed on project delivery, technical capabilities and client success stories.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and consistently achieve outreach and pipeline targets.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience selling web design, web development or digital agency services.
  • Proven track record of generating outbound pipeline and booking qualified meetings.
  • Confident discussing websites, CMS platforms, UX, SEO, analytics and digital strategy with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into commercial value.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive and highly organised, with a strong desire to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment.
  • Curious about digital technology and motivated to continuously learn about web trends and platforms.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture.
  • Experience selling into Higher Education or the public sector is advantageous but not essential.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary + uncapped commission.
  • Clear progression opportunities within a growing digital business.
  • Ongoing sales and product training.
  • Collaborative, ambitious and supportive culture.
  • Hybrid working opportunities.
  • Exposure to innovative digital transformation projects within Higher Education.
