Role Summary
Clerk of Works (M3) – you will split your time across two live sites each week (3 days/2 days), focusing initially on high‑quality residential and mixed‑use developments within the M3 corridor. Travel is a key part of this role (fully reimbursed).
Core Duties
- Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring contractor compliance with contract drawings, specifications, Building Regulations, and warranty standards.
- Produce concise, insightful reports using tablet‑based reporting tools after each visit.
- Perform comprehensive snagging inspections pre‑Practical Completion and issue defect schedules.
- Act as the client’s eyes on site, safeguarding quality and compliance throughout construction.
Qualifications
- 5+ years construction/technical experience (Clerk of Works, Quality Inspector, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and contract compliance.
- Ability to interpret Building Regulations (including Part B/Approving Document B) and BS 9999 standards.
- Membership of ICWCI or equivalent is advantageous.
- Proactive communicator with excellent attention to detail.
