Due to an increase in workload, the company is looking to add a Facilities Project Manager to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a broad portfolio of properties.
  • Dealing with clients on a daily basis, taking enquiries and feeding them back into the office to the relevant department (Interiors, AC, Plumbing and Electrical, or subcontractors).
  • Ensuring quotes are turned around in a timely manner.
  • Creating accurate quotations and delivering approved works to client requirements.
  • Submitting RAMS, permits and access permits in time via internal administration.
  • Business development with current and potential new clients around Peterborough and Cambridge areas.

Key personal characteristics

  • Client-focused with excellent communication for daily client interaction, handling enquiries, building relationships, and feeding back accurately; strong verbal and written skills for enquiries, quotes, and stakeholder updates.
  • Proactive and organized to manage high workload demands, quick turnaround of quotes, timely submission of RAMS/permits/access docs, and forward-planning without constant supervision.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in creating precise quotations, ensuring works meet client specs, handling compliance docs correctly, and maintaining high standards under pressure.
  • Commercially aware and business-minded, spotting opportunities for business development with existing/new clients and using key negotiation skills for quotes and client wins.
  • Technically knowledgeable with a practical understanding of building compliance (Fire Risk Assessments, water/fire alarm testing, fire doors) and a good grasp of MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and building fabric, even if supported by internal surveys/teams.
  • Adaptable and flexible, comfortable switching between office, client sites, and home working; willing to handle variable hours/locations in a demanding role.
  • Resilient and calm under pressure, capable of managing high volume, urgent enquiries, and multiple priorities while staying client-focused and positive.
  • Team player with leadership leanings, coordinating internal departments (Interiors, AC, Plumbing, Electrical, subbies) and leveraging office support effectively.
