The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join the Centre Management team at a high-profile shopping mall in Stratford, East London. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you will take full responsibility for hard services, contractor performance, compliance, sustainability initiatives, and budget management. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the assets' premium standard while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The Role

  • Lead and manage hard services contractors, ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Manage contracts, tender processes, and service level agreements
  • Take ownership of health & safety compliance, CDM regulations, and audit readiness
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and service charge expenditure
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Drive sustainability strategies and environmental best practice
  • Deputise for the Senior Facilities Manager when required
  • Provide leadership and support to the wider facilities team

About You

We’re looking for a commercially minded, technically strong facilities professional with:

  • Proven experience in Facilities Management within a complex commercial or retail environment
  • Strong contract management and procurement experience
  • Excellent knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrable experience managing budgets and driving value
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid understanding of building services and mechanical systems

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH or IOSH (essential)
  • M&E experience (desirable)
  • Legionella awareness/training
  • Relevant professional accreditations
