The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join the Centre Management team at a high-profile shopping mall in Stratford, East London. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you will take full responsibility for hard services, contractor performance, compliance, sustainability initiatives, and budget management. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the assets' premium standard while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The Role
- Lead and manage hard services contractors, ensuring exceptional service delivery
- Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure high-quality workmanship
- Manage contracts, tender processes, and service level agreements
- Take ownership of health & safety compliance, CDM regulations, and audit readiness
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and service charge expenditure
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Drive sustainability strategies and environmental best practice
- Deputise for the Senior Facilities Manager when required
- Provide leadership and support to the wider facilities team
About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded, technically strong facilities professional with:
- Proven experience in Facilities Management within a complex commercial or retail environment
- Strong contract management and procurement experience
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Demonstrable experience managing budgets and driving value
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Solid understanding of building services and mechanical systems
Qualifications
- NEBOSH or IOSH (essential)
- M&E experience (desirable)
- Legionella awareness/training
- Relevant professional accreditations
