Location: Bristol (Onsite)

Compensation: DOE, Salary + Commission

The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of a highly successful digital product into new markets. The product is established and proven, and we are now entering an exciting phase of international growth and market development.

This role will suit a high-performing seller who enjoys building momentum in new territories while working with a solution that already has strong validation and market traction. There is real opportunity to shape presence, establish strategic partnerships and play a visible role in scaling revenue.

From day one, you will lead new market growth within a defined commercial strategy set by the Commercial Director and executive team. Supported by an experienced BDE and SDR, you will focus on building high-quality pipeline, leading senior-level conversations and closing complex consultative deals. You will drive performance within your pod, maintaining momentum across multi-stakeholder sales cycles and ensuring consistent revenue delivery.

You will report directly to the Director of Commercial Revenue and play a key role in scaling revenue across expanding markets.

The Day to Day

  • Drive expansion of a proven digital product into new markets, building presence and credibility from the ground up

  • Execute outbound-led sales strategy alongside your BDE and SDR to generate high-quality pipeline

  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles from discovery through to negotiation and close

  • Engage multiple decision makers, navigating layered stakeholder groups and procurement processes

  • Sell to senior leadership, articulating strategic value, ROI and long-term impact

  • Operate confidently in a new-market environment where messaging and positioning will continue to evolve

  • Build early adopter partnerships and case studies to accelerate growth

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, setting standards for performance and accountability

This role requires comfort operating with ambiguity. While the commercial strategy is defined, you will be helping establish the product’s footprint in new territories and must be confident working in an evolving environment.

What We’re Looking For:

· 5 years relevant sales experience, ideally within digital media, technology, higher education, agency or related sectors

· Experience managing full sales cycles and closing considered purchase solutions with multiple stakeholders

· Comfortable building relationships with a range of decision makers, including senior stakeholders within universities and large organisations

· Strong communication and consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand client challenges and clearly position solutions

· Strong outbound sales capability with a proactive pipeline-building mindset

· Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to navigate new markets and maintain momentum in evolving environments

· Self-motivated with a strong drive to win and contribute to a high-performing commercial team
