Duties and responsibilities related to the Shift Engineer role:

  • Maintain and operate all plant, machinery, and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation and guest comfort.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues, carrying out repairs and ensuring rooms and facilities are kept in excellent condition.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas, identifying and resolving faults in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, including isolating unsafe equipment and responding to fire alarms and emergencies.
  • Deliver a high standard of guest service by assisting with requests, resolving complaints, and supporting a positive guest experience.
