Duties and responsibilities related to the Groups & Events Planning Executive role

As Groups & Events Planning Executive, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional experiences for our group and event clients from the moment a contract is confirmed through to the successful delivery of their event. Acting as the main point of contact throughout the planning journey, you will ensure every detail is managed with precision, professionalism and genuine care. You will coordinate group accommodation and event requirements, prepare detailed event orders, contracts and final invoices, and ensure all booking information is accurately maintained across our hotel systems. You will proactively identify opportunities to maximise revenue through thoughtful upselling while ensuring every client receives a personalised and seamless planning experience. Working closely with Sales, Food & Beverage, Rooms and other operational teams, you will communicate event requirements effectively to ensure flawless execution. You will conduct client meetings and hotel show rounds, build strong relationships with clients, and confidently represent Park Hyatt London River Thames throughout the planning process. You will maintain excellent product and market knowledge, support reporting and departmental targets, and ensure every event reflects the luxury standards and attention to detail that define the Park Hyatt brand.

About you

You are an organised and detail-focused hospitality professional with experience in Groups & Events or event planning within a hotel environment. Ideally, you will have previous London hotel experience and a good understanding of the pace, standards and expectations of the city’s luxury meetings and events market. You enjoy building strong client relationships, working collaboratively with hotel teams and delivering a seamless experience from planning through to execution. You are commercially aware, proactive and confident managing multiple bookings, with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
