Overview

The Lifestyle Group by Hyatt is a newly established collective of experience, design and culture driven hotel brands, formed in January 2024 following Hyatt's acquisition of Standard International. The Lifestyle Group brings together bold creative vision and global scale. Our portfolio includes The Standard, Bunkhouse Hotels, The StandardX, The Manner, Andaz, Thompson, Dream, JdV, Breathless, and more; each with its own point of view, all driven by culture, design, and community. Fuelled by Hyatt’s global platform, best-in-class commercial services, and the World of Hyatt loyalty program, we’re setting a new "anything but" standard in lifestyle hospitality where 1 + 1 truly equals 3.

We are seeking a Design Manager, Lifestyle, EAME, based in London, to join our Design & Creative Services team and help bring this vision to life across the EAME region.

Role & Responsibilities

As the Design Manager, Lifestyle, EAME, you’ll support the creative development and delivery of design-forward hospitality projects across our Lifestyle brands. You’ll work closely with the Design Department and Business Development teams, helping shape projects from early concept through execution to reflect brand DNA while pushing boundaries.

  • You’ll support program development, test fits, and blocking diagrams for new opportunities, and contribute to the creation of design presentations, pitch decks, mood boards, material palettes, and project narratives.
  • You’ll assist with preparing scopes of work, requests for proposals, and project schedules, and support coordination with consultants and vendors across new builds and renovations.
  • Day to day, you’ll help manage internal timelines and milestones, work cross-functionally with development, marketing, nightlife, and other Lifestyle Group teams to keep projects moving forward.
  • You’ll support clear and accurate reporting on active, pending, and completed projects, maintain organized project documentation and file flow for global access, and ensure information is distributed accurately and on time.
  • You’ll help maintain brand design standards, toolkits, and guidelines, supporting consistent design execution across markets while allowing space for creativity and local relevance.
  • You’ll participate in project kick-offs, design workshops, and consultant meetings as a creative representative of The Lifestyle Group, acting as a brand design advocate and ensuring every project aligns with our creative ambition, cultural relevance, and experiential spirit.

This is not a cookie-cutter design role. It’s fast-paced, collaborative, and creative, ideal for someone who thrives on variety, momentum, and problem-solving.

Qualifications

Do you have what it takes to be our Design Manager, Lifestyle, EAME? We’re looking for a design-led thinker with impeccable organisation and a genuine obsession with lifestyle hospitality. You’ll need miles and miles of personality, energy, and a passion for building relationships. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, and you know how to keep your cool when things get busy.

  • A professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design, with a minimum of six years’ post-graduate experience in architecture and interiors.
  • Hospitality experience strongly preferred, with international exposure a plus.
  • A solid understanding of construction and design documentation, alongside excellent space planning skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple long-term projects while juggling short-term priorities.
  • Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro (additional Adobe tools a plus), and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with additional languages an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
  • A can-do, hands-on mindset, a collaborative approach, and the ability to laugh at the impossible and enjoy a challenge.
  • Able to work a varied schedule, which may include occasional evenings, weekends and public holidays.

If you think you can design a space people won’t want to leave (and will definitely want to Instagram), send us your portfolio and tell us why you should be our Design Manager, Lifestyle, EAME. We’d love to meet you.

All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates prior to commencing employment.
