Hyatt Regency London Olympia is part of the transformation of Olympia into London’s newest destination for entertainment, hospitality and business, featuring exclusive new restaurants and bars, a brand new music venue and theatre. The hotel will offer 204 bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, a welcoming lobby lounge and three meeting rooms, with direct connectivity to Pillar Hall and the International Convention Centre.
Duties and responsibilities related to the Stewarding Team Leader role:
- Lead and supervise the stewarding team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency across all kitchen areas.
- Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, maintaining strict hygiene standards at all times.
- Ensure the smooth operation of dishwashing areas, including correct use and maintenance of equipment.
- Support the coordination of shifts, task allocation, and team productivity during service.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organising deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and storage practices.
- Monitor waste management and recycling processes, ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards.
- Train, coach, and support team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Work closely with chefs and kitchen teams to ensure seamless operations during busy service periods.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and company standards at all times.
About You:
- Previous experience in a kitchen porter or stewarding role, with some supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- A proactive and hands-on approach with high attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
- Good understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Positive attitude, reliable, and committed to supporting team success.
