Job Summary: The Night Manager leads all hotel operations during the night shift, ensuring guest satisfaction, safety, and seamless coordination across departments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all hotel operations during the night shift to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
  • Serve as manager on duty, addressing complaints, problem‑solving, disturbances, special requests and any other issues that may arise.
  • Manage the night shift in the department, ensuring all employees perform their assigned tasks and coordinating Front Office activities with other departments.
  • Welcome guests in a friendly and helpful manner, ensuring public areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Participate in decision‑making regarding guest relocation during overcapacity situations, coordinating with the Front Office Manager or Manager on Duty before shift start.
  • Perform the full night audit.
  • Monitor and develop team member performance, including supervision, scheduling, nightly work assignment, training, counseling, evaluations, recognition and reward.
  • Ensure Front Office staff adhere to hotel standards, policies, procedures, and the employee handbook; coach, train and correct where needed.
