We are seeking an Assistant Human Resources Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be part of a team of four, that play an integral role in supporting the HR function, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring exceptional colleague engagement across the hotel.
You will also work closely with the Area UK team to align local HR initiatives with wider business priorities and best practices.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the HR Manager in day-to-day HR operations and strategic initiatives.
- Drive the onboarding experience, ensuring every new colleague feels welcomed, supported, and connected to our culture from day one.
Partner with department leaders to deliver a seamless transition into the Hyatt family.
- Manage HR administration including employee relations, payroll processing, and performance management.
- Champion colleague engagement and recognition programmes to build a motivated, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and company policies, providing expert guidance and support to department leaders.
- Coordinate internal communications and colleague events to strengthen teamwork and belonging.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects that drive innovation, wellbeing, and professional growth within the hotel.
About You
- You are an experienced Assistant Human Resources Manager (or in a similar senior HR role) within the hospitality industry.
- Experience in a luxury hotel environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and proven success in managing employee relations is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach.
- Able to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
