Located in the prestigious Marylebone area of London’s West End, overlooking the gardens of Portman Square and just moments from Oxford Street and Hyde Park.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety standards within the linen room, storage areas, chemical rooms and all designated back‑of‑house service areas.
- Receive, sort, count and distribute clean linen for daily hotel operations, ensuring stock levels are accurately maintained.
- Collect, count and prepare soiled linen for collection by the external laundry provider in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Monitor linen inventory, report shortages, remove damaged or rejected linen, and assist with regular stock takes and linen ordering.
- Support housekeeping operations by delivering guest requests, including extra beds, baby cots, amenities and other items as required.
- Carry out deep cleaning duties, replenish cleaning chemicals and report maintenance issues to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Adhere to all hotel policies relating to health and safety, fire procedures, security, lost property and safe handling of equipment and materials.
- Assist with special projects, public area cleaning, room conversions, storage management and training of new team members as required by operational needs.
About You
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail‑oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and service. Previous experience in a Housekeeping, Linen Porter, Housekeeping Porter or similar hospitality role is highly advantageous, with hotel experience preferred. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a flexible approach to supporting operational needs across the hotel. A good level of physical fitness is required due to the manual handling aspects of the role, along with a commitment to health and safety standards and delivering an exceptional guest experience. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to assist colleagues and guests whenever required are essential.
