Hyatt Regency Birmingham is ideally located in the heart of the city centre, adjacent to Symphony Hall and within walking distance of the International Convention Centre (ICC), Brindley Place, and the Bullring shopping centre. This contemporary four-star hotel offers direct access to the vibrant canal-side area and is a short stroll from Birmingham New Street Station. The hotel features 319 spacious guest rooms and suites, 12 versatile event spaces, a modern restaurant, a traditional pub-style bar, and a luxurious spa with an indoor pool and fitness centre.
Duties and responsibilities related to the Front Office Team Leader role:
- Oversee the smooth running of the Front Desk operation during your shift.
- Assist the Management Team with the effective operation of the Front Office Department, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and adherence to hotel standards.
- Supervise the Front Desk team to ensure all tasks are completed according to hotel policy.
- Ensure all VIPs, World of Hyatt members, and Regency Club guests are checked in and supported in line with hotel procedures.
- Handle guest queries and complaints professionally and report all issues to your manager.
- Support team members by maintaining a positive, inclusive, and service-focused working environment.
You will be expected to work 40 hours per week, five days out of seven, on a shift-rota basis which may vary each week.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing the best customer service for all our Guests, ensuring that we meet all of their needs. You will have previous experience in a similar role, with good knowledge of hotel systems such as Opera and Reserve. You will have excellent IT and communication skills. As an organised and outgoing individual, you will not be fazed by the diverse and challenging situations you will deal with. Working under pressure, you will be able to diffuse conflict and act quickly in response to changing guest demands and requirements.
