The Shift Engineering is accountable to assist the Director of Engineering with maintaining all hotel and employee facilities and responsible for the physical integrity of all facilities and fully participates in all safety and security programmes. Some of the key processes include but are not limited to:
- Installing, maintaining, repairing and operating hotel machinery, equipment and related systems.
- Fabricating, maintaining, installing or repairing plumbing and sanitary facilities.
- Painting surfaces, trimmings and fixtures of the building and other structures.
- Completing preventive maintenance and repair schedules for the building, machinery, equipment and other facilities.
- Participates in the execution of new projects including planning and costing.
- Prepares work schedules.
- Participates/contributes in the Engineering budget and business plan preparation.
- Prepares and participates in the departmental training plan.
- Conducts routine inspections of the entire building including all plant areas.
- Involvement in Fire, Health & Safety procedures and activities.

Schedule: 2 days On, 2 Nights On, then 4 days off (4 ON: 4 OFF Rota)
Salary: £44,949 yearly
