Duties and responsibilities related to the Junior Sous Chef role:
- Support the Sous Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and exceptional food quality.
- Assist in menu development, recipe creation, and the consistent execution of dishes in line with brand standards.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring accuracy in portioning, quality, and plating.
- Monitor stock levels, support ordering processes, and help minimise waste through effective kitchen management.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs when required.
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house and other departments to deliver a seamless and high-quality guest experience.
You will have proven experience as a Junior Sous or Senior CDP in a hotel or high-volume kitchen. A skilled culinary professional, you bring strong leadership and organisational abilities, along with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
