We are seeking an Engineering Manager with hospitality experience to join our Management Team. You will be responsible for the repair of all guest rooms, public and service areas of the hotel, ensuring they are well maintained at all times. Your responsibilities will include:
- Prioritising fire, life, and safety at all times, ensuring systems are operational.
- Maintaining equipment, the building, and grounds in good operational condition, focusing on energy conservation and minimisation of waste.
- Managing your budget to optimise resources versus cost while complying with local regulations and codes.
- Building strong connections between Maintenance and Operations teams.
- Leading all engineering activities within the hotel.
- Collaborating with Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other departments.
- Developing a strategic team focused on efficiency and exceeding customer expectations.
About you: You will be a people-focused team player and a strong leader with excellent people management skills. You will communicate effectively at all levels, including with contractors, and possess a smart appearance, inquisitive nature, and problem-solving abilities. Ideally, you will have an engineering degree or similar, with a bias towards mechanical or electrical engineering, and experience as an Engineering Manager or strong Assistant in a luxury hotel or similar environment.
