Duties and responsibilities related to the Senior Group & Event Planner role:
- Handle and convert group and event enquiries including RFPs in line with revenue targets, while effectively managing the event diary to maximize space utilization, regularly reviewing tentative bookings, and pursuing new business opportunities through lapsed account reconnection and upselling.
- Organize and manage all aspects of assigned group bookings and events from enquiry through post-event follow-up, conduct engaging site inspections showcasing venue services, and provide timely documentation including proposals, contracts, function sheets, and event orders.
- Ensure accurate management of event deposits, payments, and final invoices in line with hotel standards, maintain the chase/trace system for scheduled follow-ups and client interactions, and assist with commercial reporting including Conference & Events, pace, and forecast reports.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales to generate leads, secure appointments, and support M&E FAM trips, while maintaining strong product and local area knowledge to identify upselling opportunities and maximize client satisfaction.
- Support day-to-day coordination of the Groups and Events team ensuring high performance standards, assist with onboarding and training new members, and communicate effectively across all hotel departments to ensure client requirements are understood and delivered accurately.
About You:
Previous experience in a premium hospitality setting is preferred. You have strong attention to detail, a reliable work ethic, and proficiency in conversational English to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
