Hyatt Regency Birmingham is ideally located in the heart of the city centre, adjacent to Symphony Hall and within walking distance of the International Convention Centre (ICC), Brindley Place, and the Bullring shopping centre. This contemporary four-star hotel offers direct access to the vibrant canal-side area and is a short stroll from Birmingham New Street Station. The hotel features 319 spacious guest rooms and suites, 12 versatile event spaces, a modern restaurant, a traditional pub-style bar, and a luxurious spa with an indoor pool and fitness centre.
The Role
As a Sales Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to chart your own journey, explore new opportunities and develop a career you may never have imagined within hospitality. Working within the Sales & Marketing team, you’ll support groups & events sales efforts, collaborate with our operations team, and engage with clients throughout various aspects of the sales function. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will support with administrative tasks, host hotel tours, recommend packages and ideas to clients, and work with the operations team to create a seamless and memorable journey for our guests. This position is full-time (40 hours per week), typically following office hours, with some evening or weekend work required with advance notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to all external customer enquiries in a timely, accurate and professional manner with a clear focus on conversion.
- Ensure hotel procedures are accurately followed including business being accurately logged in to Envision, methods of payment confirmed and contracts issued promptly on confirmation of bookings.
- Conduct site inspections and tailored hotel tours to convert prospective clients into confirmed business.
- Manage group and event enquiries in line with agreed revenue strategies, commercial guidelines and brand standards.
- Prepare banquet event orders and work closely with operations to help ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Support the wider team as needed across all Sales & Marketing functions.
