Duties and responsibilities related to the Night Front Office Supervisor role
Reporting to the Night Manager and Front Office Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the hotel operates safely, efficiently and seamlessly throughout the night.
You will
- Supervise the smooth running of the hotel overnight, delivering exceptional guest service and operational excellence.
- Act as the senior manager on duty when required, taking responsibility for guest escalations, security incidents and emergency situations.
- Complete night audit procedures and ensure all overnight reports, financial controls and system updates are completed accurately.
- Support guests with check-in, check-out and overnight requests, creating memorable experiences and resolving issues with confidence.
- Conduct regular security, fire and health & safety checks to ensure a safe environment for guests and colleagues.
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Engineering and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless overnight operations.
- Maintain accurate handovers and communicate key information to the day teams.
- Support revenue opportunities through room sales, upgrades and effective control procedures.
- Be a visible presence throughout the hotel, ensuring brand standards are maintained and guests feel welcomed and cared for.
About You
This role is working 40 hours per week, 5 nights out of 7 and is ideal for an experienced Night Auditor, Night Host, Reception Supervisor or Front Office professional looking to take the next step in their hospitality career.
You will bring
- Previous experience in Front Office or Night Operations within a hotel environment.
- Confidence working independently and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience completing night audit and cash handling procedures.
- A strong focus on guest service and problem resolution.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Opera or similar hotel management systems.
- A calm and professional approach when managing incidents and emergencies.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
