Whereas Hyatt House Manchester offers modern suites, fully equipped kitchens and complimentary laundry facilities making it a luxurious, yet true, home-from-home experience.
The role involves introducing a brand-new coffee concept at Hyatt Regency & House Manchester. Working independently from our outdoor Graduate Bar Coffee Kiosk, located within the hotel's Outdoor Terrace, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and memorable experience for guests, visitors and colleagues alike. As the face of this new offering, you will take ownership of the operation, preparing exceptional coffee and beverages, maintaining high standards, managing stock and equipment, and helping to build a loyal customer base.
This is a unique opportunity for a confident and self-motivated Barista who enjoys working autonomously and wants to play a key role in shaping a new guest experience from the ground up. No two days will be the same, and your personality, passion and expertise will be central to the success of the concept.
About you:
- You are an experienced Barista who is passionate about great coffee, exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- This is not an entry-level hospitality role; we are looking for someone who already has strong barista experience and can confidently manage a premium coffee operation independently.
- You will be comfortable working autonomously, building relationships with guests and maintaining high standards without direct supervision.
- You will take ownership of your space, ensuring every beverage is prepared with consistency, care and attention to detail.
- You will also bring proven experience working as a Barista in a busy café, coffee shop, hotel or premium hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, extraction techniques, milk texturing and beverage presentation.
- Confidence operating independently and managing a stand-alone coffee cart.
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and building rapport with regular customers.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage stock, equipment and daily set-up requirements.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to identify opportunities to drive sales and guest engagement.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, food safety and brand standards.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in conversational English.
