The Clayfield is a new 102-room luxury boutique hotel opening in Niagara-on-the-Lake and part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. Operated by Urgo Hotels & Resorts Canada, The Clayfield will deliver a highly personalized, refined guest experience grounded in calm luxury, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place.
As a Laundry Attendant, you will play an important role in supporting the comfort, cleanliness, and luxury presentation standards that define our hospitality experience in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Reporting to the Housekeeping Management, the Laundry Attendant plays an essential role in supporting the hotel’s housekeeping and guest experience operations by ensuring linens, towels, robes, and other laundry items are cleaned, organized, and maintained to the highest standards.
This role helps ensure all hotel departments are consistently supplied with fresh, well-presented linen and laundry items that reflect the expectations of a luxury hospitality environment.
What You’ll Do
- Operate commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, organize, and distribute hotel linens, towels, robes, uniforms, and other laundry items.
- Maintain quality and presentation standards for all laundered items.
- Monitor linen inventory levels and assist with organization and stock rotation.
- Identify damaged or stained items and report replacement needs to housekeeping leadership.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and surrounding work areas.
- Assist with linen deliveries and distribution to housekeeping and operational departments.
- Follow proper chemical handling, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Support housekeeping operations and additional cleaning duties as required.
- Report equipment concerns, maintenance issues, or supply shortages promptly.
- Assist with opening, closing, and deep cleaning tasks within the laundry operation.
