Head Waiter/ess Responsibilities
- Lead and support the food and beverage team during service, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience.
- Act as a shift leader, overseeing daily restaurant operations and supporting managers in delivering departmental objectives.
- Guide, coach and motivate Waiters/Waitresses and Hosts/Hostesses to maintain exceptional service standards.
- Build strong relationships with guests, anticipating their needs and handling requests with professionalism and care.
- Conduct pre-service briefings and ensure clear communication across the team throughout each shift.
- Support the training and development of colleagues, helping to build confidence, product knowledge and service excellence.
- Monitor service quality and implement improvements to consistently exceed guest expectations.
- Promote a positive and collaborative working environment aligned with Hyatt's values and culture.
About you
You are a passionate hospitality professional with previous experience in a supervisory or senior waiting role within a quality restaurant, hotel or luxury hospitality environment. You thrive in a guest-facing position, enjoy leading by example and have a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to motivate a team are essential. Experience within a hotel food and beverage operation would be highly advantageous.
