Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead on the complaints of the day and liaise with the team regarding recovery and compensation.
  • Responsible for all Front Office functions during the shift.
  • Supervise and train supervisors, hosts, Guest Services agents and door hosts.
  • Ensure all daily tasks are completed and provide assistance if needed.
  • Ensure credit limits, open folios are up to date and closed.
  • Review the arrival lists and allocate rooms according to guest preferences, length of stay and notes.
  • Review any group arrival and prepare allocation and arrivals according to the group agenda.
  • Work with Managers to optimise departmental goals such as customer service, upsell and enrollments.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Front Office Manager and Guest Relations Manager to deliver high guest expectations and ensure the team provides a five‐star service consistently.
  • Perform on‐the‐job training and give feedback when needed.
  • Assist the Assistant Front Office Manager in developing the team and conduct regular catch‐ups, such as buddy chats, to help the team improve performance and IDPs.
  • Lead during SSM situations such as fire evacuations, fire drills or other health and safety procedures.
  • Prepare and follow action plans each month to reach KPIs.

About you

You have previous experience in a front office role within the premium or upscale hotel segment, with exposure to supervisory responsibilities preferred. You possess excellent communication and organisational skills, along with a proactive, guest‐focused approach to service delivery. You are confident in leading and supporting a team in a fast‐paced environment, ensuring smooth daily operations and high service standards. Your ability to handle guest concerns professionally, coordinate with multiple departments, and maintain attention to detail makes you a strong asset to the front office leadership team.
