Hyatt Regency Birmingham is ideally located in the heart of the city centre, adjacent to Symphony Hall and within walking distance of the International Convention Centre (ICC), Brindley Place, and the Bullring shopping centre. This contemporary four-star hotel offers direct access to the vibrant canal-side area and is a short stroll from Birmingham New Street Station. The hotel features 319 spacious guest rooms and suites, 12 versatile event spaces, a modern restaurant, a traditional pub-style bar, and a luxurious spa with an indoor pool and fitness centre.
The Role
We are looking for a Part ‐ Time General Accountant (3 - month Contract, 20 hours per Week) to support our Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will assist with debt collection, cashiering, banking, and revenue reconciliation. You will also review Officers, Entertainment, and Voids as part of daily financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding debts in line with agreed terms.
- Maintain up‐to‐date market knowledge to identify and respond to factors affecting debt collection.
- Carry out general cashiering duties, including daily banking responsibilities.
- Perform revenue reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Review and verify Officers, Entertainment, and Voids.
- Support the Director of Finance with additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
About you: You will have experience in hotel or hospitality finance, ideally in Accounts Receivable, Cashiering, or Income Audit. You are self ‐ motivated, organised, and able to prioritise your work. With strong communication skills, you take ownership of tasks and work well with others. You care about supporting colleagues and clients, understand the local area, and can confidently engage with guests and the community in line with our brand values.
