Duties and responsibilities related to the Steward - Flexi Hours role:
- Manage the receipt, storage, organisation, and distribution of clean linen across hotel operations.
- Maintain the cleanliness, order, and presentation of linen rooms, storage areas, chemical rooms, and other back-of-house spaces.
- Accurately count, track, and record clean, soiled, and rejected linen to support stock control and minimise losses.
- Assist with linen ordering processes and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained at all times.
- Deliver guest requests promptly, including extra beds, baby cots, and other items required to enhance the guest experience.
- Support room conversions, furniture movements, and special housekeeping projects as required.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and equipment faults within housekeeping service areas.
- Work collaboratively with the wider hotel team to support housekeeping, public area cleaning, and operational requirements where needed.
About you:
You are a reliable, proactive, and organised individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards and supporting a busy operation. Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, logistics, or a similar role is advantageous, with hotel experience beneficial but not essential. You have good attention to detail, can manage physical tasks safely and efficiently, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service are essential, as is the ability to follow health and safety procedures and maintain accurate records.
