As Security Manager you are expected to lead the day‑to‑day security operations of the hotel, ensuring the protection of guests, colleagues, and assets while maintaining a safe, hazard‑free environment.
- Oversee and ensure effective patrol strategies across guest floors, public and back‑of‑house areas, including regular audits of security coverage and standards.
- Manage and oversee all investigations relating to incidents, loss, theft or damage, ensuring thorough reporting, resolution and preventative measures are implemented.
- Develop and monitor access control procedures, including identification systems, contractor management and visitor protocols.
- Ensure robust perimeter security and control of unauthorised access, promoting a professional and guest‑focused approach at all entry points.
- Take ownership of fire safety compliance, including regular audits of fire equipment, evacuation procedures, and ensuring all issues are promptly resolved.
- Lead emergency response planning, including first aid readiness, incident management and team training to certificate standards.
- Drive a culture of safety and security awareness across the hotel through training, coaching and collaboration with all departments.
We are looking for an experienced Security Manager, ideally with a background in hospitality or a similar environment. You will hold a valid SIA licence, have strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid understanding of health & safety and security procedures. A calm, professional approach and the ability to handle incidents effectively are essential.
