Duties and responsibilities related to the Receiving Clerk role:

  • Processing purchase orders and requisitions
  • Maintaining store areas and the receiving bay in an organised, clean and tidy manner
  • Ensuring suppliers are contacted for discrepancies
  • Accountable to monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage
  • Responsible to maintain Hygiene certificates files and ensure Temperature checks are carried out on Fresh Meat / Fish supplies
  • Receiving goods in the loading bay
  • To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
  • To maintain good working relationships with your colleagues, supplier delivery personnel and all other departments
  • To be familiar with the Hotel’s short term and long-term promotions
  • To establish rapport with guests, providing guest recognition and good customer relations

About you:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Receiving Clerk with experience in inventory management, receiving, and stock control. Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or hotel industry would be preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, the ability to accurately inspect and record deliveries, and a commitment to maintaining efficient stock levels and storage standards. A proactive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal departments are essential for success in this role.
