Duties and responsibilities
- Assist the pastry team with the preparation, baking, and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring all items meet Hyatt’s quality, creativity, and consistency standards.
- Maintain exceptional levels of hygiene, food safety, and allergen control in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support senior pastry chefs with daily operations, including dough and batter preparation, stock rotation, mise en place, temperature checks, and verifying ingredient deliveries.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues across the pastry and main kitchen teams.
- Demonstrate initiative in learning new pastry skills, techniques, and recipes to further develop professionally and uphold the high standards of the Hyatt pastry department.
