Duties and responsibilities related to the Pastry Junior Sous Chef role:

  • Support the Pastry Sous Chef and senior kitchen team in daily pastry operations, contributing to efficiency, consistency, and high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Assist in the supervision of the pastry section, setting a positive example and helping ensure smooth, well‐organised service across all shifts.
  • Contribute to the development of pastry menus and seasonal items by sharing ideas and assisting with recipe preparation and testing.
  • Prepare and present baked goods, desserts, and pastry items in line with established recipes, maintaining consistency and proper portion control.
  • Uphold cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards within the pastry kitchen, ensuring full compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support service needs and help enhance the overall guest experience through quality pastry offerings.

You will have proven experience as a Pastry Junior Sous Chef in a hotel or high‐volume pastry kitchen.
