Duties and responsibilities related to the Assistant Outlet Manager role:
- Supervises the day-to-day functioning of all restaurant employees, facilities, sales and costs.
- Supervises, co-ordinates and directs the prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages in the restaurant.
- Establishes and maintains effective employee relationships.
- Conducts, under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager, functions such as interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, on-the-job performance, coaching, counselling and suspension if necessary to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity.
- Conducts pre-shift briefings and maintains liaison with The Head Chef.
- Participates in service as necessary in accordance with the requirements and practices of the restaurant.
- Ensures restaurant grooming and appearance standards are met at all times.
- Assists in administration work as required by the Restaurant Manager.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Sets up and carries out training of all staff at all levels, under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager.
