Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the budget and cost control in line with the hotel business plan.
  • Works with other teams to maximise guest satisfaction.
  • Mentoring and coaching to ensure maximum employee engagement.
  • Recruits future talent and manages performance of the team.
  • Be familiar with all food items on the menu.
  • Follow standard recipes and minimise waste to help ensure that the food cost is in line with budget.
  • Knowledge of seasonal and new products on the market.
  • Ensure all dishes are correctly presented and garnished before being sent for service.
  • Ensure hygiene and sanitation are strictly observed and that equipment and utensils are handled, maintained and used correctly.
  • To establish a rapport with guests, providing guest recognition and good customer relationships.

About the Role

You are a creative and skilled pastry professional. You assist in managing the pastry team, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation, and contribute to menu development. Previous experience in a senior pastry role is preferred.
