Duties and responsibilities related to the Director of Events role:
- Responsible for overseeing the events sales department in the hotel and the successful planning and coordination of conferences, seminars and trade shows, and special events such as weddings and birthdays.
- In collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing, develop and implement event strategies and plans to achieve company objectives and enhance brand awareness.
- Lead and mentor the events sales team to ensure events are delivered to the highest standards.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences, and providing personalized service to exceed expectations and foster loyalty.
- Develop pricing strategies and upsell opportunities to maximize revenue, including add-on services, upgrades, and ancillary offerings.
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure a reputation for excellence in event hosting, ensuring attention to detail, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
