The Grade II-listed five-star hotel is steeped in regal history, residing on the former grounds of King Henry VIII's Bridewell Palace. The hotel offers 205 stylish guest rooms and suites, 4 meeting spaces, 1 restaurant, and 1 signature bar.

NYnLON is a local bistro inspired by friendships and a love of New York and London neighbourhoods, set within an upscale and laid-back design that is influenced by sustainable and natural wines. You will find comfort food recipes from New York and London. Duties and responsibilities related to the Commis Chef role:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients and executing dishes to the highest standards across multiple outlets.
  • Mise en Place: Ensure your station is well-stocked, organised, and ready for service, contributing to smooth kitchen operations.
  • Learning & Development: Actively engage in training, absorbing new techniques, and seeking feedback to improve your culinary skills.
  • Compliance & Hygiene: Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in line with HACCP and company policies.
  • Team Support: Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen porters, contributing to a positive and productive kitchen culture.
  • Equipment Care: Keep tools and workstations clean and well-maintained, supporting overall kitchen efficiency.

About You:

  • Basic experience in a professional kitchen or culinary training.
  • Understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Experience Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
  • Exposure to London-based hospitality operations and UK food safety standards.
  • Level 1 or 2 Food Safety certification.
