Duties and tasks related to the Duty Engineer role include:
- Being responsible for carrying out any required engineering or maintenance tasks.
- Performing repairs and maintenance in guest bedrooms, public and back of house areas, ensuring they are maintained to a high level and exceed guest expectations.
- Conducting general repairs and maintenance including electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, fire protection, carpentry, and plumbing, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule and compliant with required standards and safety regulations.
- Completing planned preventive maintenance within the plant rooms, bedrooms and public areas.
- Regularly inspect the entire building with particular attention to safety features and to monitor the condition of all operating equipment.
- Working closely with the security department in overseeing Health & Safety.
Requirements:
- You should have a strong understanding of general maintenance and engineering tasks in a hotel and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A qualification in specialised areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing is beneficial.
- As you will have regular interaction with our guests, excellent communication skills are essential.
- Proficient knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting IT issues is desirable.
